Michael Hutchings first worked at a restaurant in college. His first major job was in the kitchen of the private Club 33 at Disneyland. Michael Hutchings eventually became executive chef of Club 33, and afterwards worked under several Los Angeles chefs, including James Sly and Jean Grodin. He then opened Michael's Waterside in Santa Barbara. He sold Michael's Waterside in 1993, and worked at other restaurants for some time. Chef Michael currently oversees a food consulting and service business in Santa Barbara. 

At Heather's Sweet 16 birthday party a few days later, Löded Diper performs a rock version of "Baby" by Justin Bieber, during an attempt to win over Heather. However, Rodrick accidentally knocks over an ice sculpture, which results in Heather losing her temper and breaks a chocolate fountain, which splashes everywhere, and the party ends in disaster. Holly then implies that she likes Greg by holding his hand, and the final scene Greg describes his summer as not the way he expected but had positive circumstances; and also describes the positive between him and his dad despite their flaws. 

The Cheese Touch is a type of "cooties" in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. If somebody has the Cheese Touch, they will be a social outcast until they pass it onto someone else by touching them, which is pretty difficult, as no one would go near the person. The Cheese Touch is triggered by touching a moldy slice of cheese on the basketball field. As mentioned in the movie diary, the Cheese is the main antagonist of the first book and film.
